This part of the spreadsheet holds how each "option" or task impacts a players score. Through feedback I have tweaked this to be balanced where I player can reasonably guess if something will be overwhelming or something to fill in a stat gap. Through my surveying, I can tweak these numbers further to represent my research, but this is a good start and at least it's set-up
This part of the spread sheet is where the randomized playtests are displayed, it chooses a random set of tasks or options and subtracts from the STARTING STATS which is an example playthrough of starting stats. TOTAL AFTER DAY are the final stats that tell me if balance was achieved or not. I plan on possibly using conditional formatting to turn the cells green or red if anything is good or bad, but for now I will copy and paste results into the area below and put it in a table to visually display my tests.
These are the statistics from the randomized non-human playtests. There is a 30% (+/- 10 error in score) chance of the randomized function playing the day and resulting in a balanced life, which is a reasonable balance. My goal was to keep this statistic to be around 25%-35%.
